Supporting Our Community with the Nundah Men’s Shed

Men’s Shed is an extremely valuable community organisation that “aims to improve the health and wellbeing of members and reduce the number
of men who are at risk from preventable health issues that may emanate from isolation”. Four years ago, the Nundah chapter reached out to
Accurate when they put the word out that they were looking for a special kind of drill bit. They made contact with a number of tooling
suppliers and were advised by one guy who said: “If it’s something special, you have to ask Accurate”.
Nundah Men’s Shed contacted Craig and we were privileged to have donated these drill bits to them. We now have an ongoing relationship with them and are committed to looking after their tooling requirements. The most recent donation is a 300mm solid wood ripping sawblade the Men’s Shed is using to build a hardwood slab for a coffee table top, and will contribute to many future projects as well.
As a supporter of this organisation, we feel we are giving something meaningful back to the community. As Craig says, “Men’s Shed across Australia provides a vital link to so many members of the community and Accurate provides a vital link to these guys and their woodworking needs.”
